Job Title: Amazon QuickSight Administrator

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Amazon QuickSight Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing QuickSight environments to deliver robust and scalable business intelligence (BI) solutions. This role will also involve collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective visualization and data analytics capabilities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
QuickSight Administration:
- Manage and administer Amazon QuickSight environments, including setup, configuration, and optimization.
- Develop and implement user access controls, permissions, and group policies to ensure data security and compliance.
- Monitor system performance, usage metrics, and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and responsiveness.
- Configure and optimize data sources, SPICE datasets, and ingestion pipelines to support analytics requirements.
Report and Dashboard Development:
- Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to design and develop interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.
- Maintain and enhance existing dashboards, ensuring accuracy, performance, and alignment with business needs.
Data Integration and Management:
- Work with data engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of data sources from various platforms (e.g., AWS S3, Redshift, RDS, and other databases).
- Optimize queries and data models to reduce latency and enhance the efficiency of dashboards and visualizations.
Training and Support:
- Provide end-user training and documentation to promote self-service analytics adoption across the organization.
- Act as a point of escalation for QuickSight-related issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest QuickSight features, best practices, and AWS tools to enhance the organization’s BI capabilities.
- Recommend and implement improvements to processes and tools to support evolving business requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Amazon QuickSight Administrator or in a similar BI administration role.
- Strong knowledge of QuickSight features, including SPICE data storage, calculated fields, filters, and embedding capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, RDS, and Lambda.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and transforming datasets.
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices and designing user-friendly dashboards.
- Experience managing permissions, roles, and security settings within QuickSight.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and their integration with AWS.
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation and advanced data processing.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and tools for data ingestion and transformation.
